Owner Rachael Scharf trained in Washington D.C. and Florence before setting up her ceramics studio in Brooklyn, New York in 2013. The influence of these unique traditions blends seamlessly in her collection of bowls, spoon rests, mugs, pots, and other kitchen essentials, which are both rustic and refined, airy yet tactile. Every piece is hand-thrown on the wheel using speckled stoneware clay and food-safe glazes, then fired in her own electric kiln. Repeating this process to create the same object in multiples requires discipline and focus, a mental practice Rachael likens to a form of meditation. The result is a collection of pieces that are both artful and practical, bringing grace and ease to our daily lives.
